The DiSTI Corporation, a leading provider of cutting-edge virtual training solutions, is proud to announce the integration of the Paladin M109A7 Diagnostic Troubleshooting Trainer (DTT) into the Common Core tailored for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) and Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS). This strategic enhancement will elevate training capabilities for U.S. Army soldiers, providing advanced troubleshooting and maintenance education through a unified virtual training platform.

“The DiSTI Corporation is honored to continue supporting the Army’s training objectives through the advancement of our virtual training technologies,” said John Hayward, DiSTI CEO. “Integrating the Paladin M109A7 DTT represents a significant step toward achieving training uniformity, operational readiness, and cybersecurity compliance across platforms. The Paladin’s role as a cornerstone of the Army’s firepower demands innovative solutions that keep soldiers mission-ready.”

The Paladin M109A7 plays a critical role in the U.S. Army’s artillery capabilities as a self-propelled howitzer that delivers precision fire support for maneuver units on the battlefield. Renowned for its advanced digital fire control systems, improved survivability, and increased mobility, the Paladin enables the Army to execute rapid, accurate, and sustained artillery operations in a wide range of combat environments. Ensuring the operational readiness of this sophisticated system is paramount to maintaining the Army’s dominance in modern warfare.

Building on the Paladin Maintenance Trainer (PMT) success, DiSTI is transitioning its comprehensive content and 3D modeling into the HIMARS/MLRS DTT/Operator Maintainer Training (OMT) software baseline. This innovative move promotes consistency in training methodologies across platforms. It enables the Army to leverage the HIMARS/MLRS DTT’s established Cybersecurity Risk Management Framework (RMF) under its Authority to Operate (ATO).

The Paladin M109A7 DTT is specifically designed to train Army 91P, 915A, and 913A Warrant Officer Maintenance Technicians in critical troubleshooting, removal, and replacement tasks. The integration emphasizes shared core training elements while addressing the unique needs of each Military Occupational Specialty (MOS).

Key program highlights include:

Seamless Integration: Reuse of government-owned PMT content to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Enhanced Realism: Using high-fidelity 3D models and simulations to create an immersive, hands-on training experience.

Centralized Testing: In-plant software testing conducted at DiSTI’s Software Integration Lab (SIL) in Orlando, FL.

Field Deployment: Finalized software will be implemented in existing HIMARS/MLRS classrooms and labs at Fort Gregg-Adams.

This initiative underscores DiSTI’s commitment to delivering innovative training solutions that meet the evolving needs of the U.S. Army. By integrating the Paladin M109A7 DTT into the HIMARS/MLRS ecosystem, DiSTI ensures that soldiers have the skills necessary to maintain mission-critical systems efficiently and effectively.
